Is the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns a 4.69/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxury features, comfort, and performance, and many also like the cool features and reliable engineering. It suits you well if you want a premium SUV with a family-friendly character and everyday practicality. Is the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 4.69/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback highlights reliable engineering and a trouble-free feel for many drivers, while also noting that some examples can have electronic issues. That means you should focus on service history and a careful inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-spec or more complex version. For used buyers, the long-term ownership risk is manageable if the vehicle has been maintained properly, but neglected electrical or suspension problems could become costly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings closely.

• Deal availability: 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 111 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.34% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,593 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $27,596 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,482 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the GLE more attractive to you as a buyer today but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you can help protect your resale position. The model’s premium image and broad appeal should still support demand, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.69/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.34% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.69/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 GLE makes sense if you want a luxury SUV with strong owner approval, a softer price than last year, and enough inventory to compare options. If you are price-sensitive, you may also want to look at nearby model years and choose the best-maintained example with the strongest deal value rather than focusing only on the badge year.
