The current average of $42,385 CAD sits slightly below last year's $48,325 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today. For a future seller, it also means there may be less room for appreciation unless demand strengthens. If you buy well now, you may reduce the risk of taking a bigger hit later when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.57/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.29% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.57/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $52,910 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $42,385 CAD average.
• The 2021 adds GLE Coupe models for a more distinctive body style.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2020 if you want the better value and a broad mix of well-equipped luxury SUV options. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2020 is the smarter starting point; if you want the newer model-year premium and the Coupe body style, the 2021 is the better alternative.
