Is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC a good car?

Drivers consistently praise its outstanding performance, luxury features, and value for money, and they also highlight its quick acceleration, comfort, and all-wheel drive capability for winter driving. The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable in daily use, with strong satisfaction around comfort, performance, and winter confidence. Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop around and enough deal activity to reward patience.

• Deal availability: 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 287 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.43% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,715 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC's resale value?

The current average of $30,016 CAD sits slightly below last year's $34,672 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable point in the cycle. For a future seller, it also means resale expectations should be grounded in today’s softer pricing rather than last year’s higher benchmark. If demand stays steady, the model’s premium image and broad appeal should still support decent used-market interest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.43% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $33,549 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $30,016 CAD average.
• It adds more advanced technology and a more polished, well-rounded feel.

The bottom line: Choose the 2020 if you want the better value and are comfortable shopping the used market carefully. If you want the newer model’s added tech and can stretch your budget, the 2021 is the more upscale alternative. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2020 is the smarter starting point.
