I bought the car! It is immaculate, 48k miles and looks and smells like it came from the showroom. Great fuel economy for the engine and it feels tight. Great sport sport+ and eco modes as well as a comfort setting.

Why it stands out
The 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLC stands out as a compact luxury SUV that blends a premium feel with everyday practicality. It is based on the concurrent C-Class sedan and wagon, and its longer, sleeker shape gives it more rear-seat space and a larger cargo area than the GLK it replaced. It is also tuned for comfort and refinement rather than hardcore off-road use, which suits buyers looking for a smooth, relaxed premium SUV.
For 2018, the GLC lineup remained focused and appealing. The base GLC 300 used a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with 241 horsepower, while 4Matic all-wheel drive was standard in Canada from the start. The plug-in hybrid GLC 350e added an 85 kW electric motor for a total system output of 320 hp, and the AMG GLC 43 brought a twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6 with 362 horsepower. The GLC Coupe had already joined the range by this point, offering a more rakish profile while keeping almost as much practicality as the standard body style.
Buyers were also drawn to the GLC’s upscale equipment and safety content. The model was described as having a comprehensive range of driver assistance safety features, and owners praised its comfort, luxury, build quality, spacious interior, and advanced technology. At the same time, the 2018 GLC was not without drawbacks: some owners were disappointed by the lack of Apple CarPlay and by high fuel consumption, and the model’s reliability reputation was not especially strong.
