What is the 2020 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $18,472 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,476 CAD.

That softer pricing means future sellers may not see the same level of return they would have a year ago, especially if market conditions stay competitive. On the other hand, the Tucson’s broad appeal and value-focused reputation can help support demand when you eventually sell. A model that continues to attract shoppers for its practicality and equipment tends to stay easier to move in the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.99% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2020 Tucson makes the most sense if you want a well-equipped, comfortable compact SUV and you like the idea of buying into a model year with softer pricing. If you are especially price-sensitive, it is also worth comparing nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2020’s stronger market position.
