The strongest themes are its long-term usefulness, solid everyday manners, and good value, which all support confidence in used ownership. This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient and compare listings.

• Inventory: There are 447 listings available.

What is the 2020 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $18,403 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,485 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Tucson has become more affordable for used buyers, which can also mean a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy at the right number now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to the earlier average. The model’s broad appeal and steady demand should help support resale interest, especially if you choose a well-kept example with desirable equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 28.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.35% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2020 Tucson makes the most sense if you want a well-equipped, comfort-focused compact SUV and you can take advantage of the softer pricing. If you are especially price-sensitive, it is also worth comparing nearby model years to see whether a lower asking price or a better-equipped example gives you more value for your budget.
