Is the 2020 Hyundai Palisade a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Hyundai Palisade earns a 4.81/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its spacious interior, safety features, and strong value for money, and many appreciate the upscale feel and generous equipment for the price. It also fits well if you want a family-size, three-row SUV with lots of comfort and convenience features. With 30.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Hyundai Palisade reliable?

Owners rate it 4.81/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback highlights a dependable ownership experience for many shoppers, with praise centred on comfort, space, and overall satisfaction. The same feedback also suggests that some buyers have encountered minor concerns, so you should still inspect service records carefully and pay close attention to how the vehicle has been maintained.

For used buyers, the long-term ownership risk looks manageable if you prioritise a well-documented example and verify that any past issues have been addressed.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Hyundai Palisade?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 182 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.14% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,427 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Hyundai Palisade's resale value?

The current average of $25,427 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,448 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the vehicle easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you plan to resell later, the current softness means your return will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. A clean, well-kept example should still appeal to family buyers looking for space and features at a lower entry price.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.81/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Hyundai Palisade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.14% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.81/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $27,431 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $25,427 CAD average.
• It adds more standard equipment and a new luxury-themed trim.

The bottom line: Choose the 2020 if you want the lower entry price and are comfortable shopping carefully for a well-kept example. Consider the 2021 if you want more standard equipment and are willing to pay more for the newer model year. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2020 is the better value play; for shoppers who want a bit more polish, the 2021 is the stronger upgrade path.
