Is the 2020 Honda Passport a good car?

Generally — 4.45/5 is a strong user rating for a used SUV, and the feedback points to comfort, spaciousness, and a smooth ride as the main reasons shoppers like it. You also get praise for the strong V6 engine and the utility it offers for hauling cargo, which fits the Passport’s role as a roomy two-row SUV for buyers who do not need a third row. That makes it a sensible pick if you want everyday practicality, a comfortable cabin, and useful space without moving up to a larger three-row SUV. With 30.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Honda Passport reliable?

Owners rate it 4.45/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, with comfort and utility showing up as recurring strengths. At the same time, some owners mention electrical issues and an infotainment system that feels outdated, so you should pay close attention to electronics during a used-car inspection. For long-term ownership, that means the Passport looks promising, but a careful pre-purchase check is still wise if you want to reduce repair risk.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Honda Passport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 83 listings available.

What is the 2020 Honda Passport's resale value?

The current average of $29,116 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,587 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favourable for buyers, which can make it harder for future sellers to command top dollar unless the vehicle is especially well kept. If you buy now, you may be entering at a more reasonable price point than a year ago, but resale value will still depend on condition, mileage, and how well the SUV has been maintained. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.45/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Honda Passport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.81% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.45/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2020 Passport is the better fit if you want a roomy, comfortable two-row SUV with strong owner approval and a market that is a bit softer than it was a year ago. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, equipment, and asking price.
