Is the 2020 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Honda Odyssey earns a 4.78/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its spaciousness, comfort, and user-friendly features, and many also like the updated technology and family-friendly feel. In practical terms, that makes it a strong fit if you want a minivan that prioritises everyday convenience, passenger comfort, and easy-to-use equipment. With 26.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2020 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 4.78/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with repeated praise for comfort, spaciousness, and user-friendly features. That kind of response usually suggests a minivan people can count on for family duty over the long haul. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well, especially given the model’s early-generation complaints about electrical, infotainment, and transmission issues.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right example.

• Deal availability: 26.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 127 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.44% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $28,157 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $28,459 CAD sits slightly below last year's $34,895 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may be more sensitive to condition, mileage, and equipment than it would be in a stronger pricing environment. Well-kept examples should still attract family buyers, especially because the Odyssey’s reputation for comfort and convenience remains a selling point.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.78/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 26.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.44% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.78/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• It adds improved safety, upgraded technology, and refreshed styling.

The bottom line: The 2020 is a smart pick if you want a well-equipped family minivan and value today’s softer pricing. If you can stretch for the 2021, it may be the better choice for buyers who want the newer update and are willing to pay for it; if not, the 2020 remains the more price-sensitive route.
