To start on the overall the 2020 civic hatchback sport made some MAJOR improvements! Before the 2017-2019 “sport” trim used to take away features that a normal civic EX would have. However in 2020 the sport trim got almost all of the goodies (excluding a few feature like and heated seats) Ranging from a better display to navigation system as well as a ton more informational features that’s are extremely important. Lastly the thing that makes any year civic hatchback amazing is the MPG. I took a 10 hour trip and averaged 47 MPG. If your looking for a efficient gas saving, sporty looking car (also easily moddable) well then let me tell you here’s an option!

Peppy acceleration, sports car like handling and 37 mpg, loving it so far! Also, I read some complaints of road noise and that seems to have been resolved this year.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in everyday use, with praise for its trouble-free ownership experience, strong fuel efficiency, and the kind of long-term appeal that helps buyers feel confident. What is the 2020 Honda Civic Hatchback's resale value?
The current average of $22,081 CAD sits slightly below last year's $24,241 CAD.
That softer pricing can be a mixed signal for future resale: it may help you buy at a more attractive entry point now, but it also means the market has already adjusted downward. If prices stabilise, a well-kept example could hold value better than a neglected one. Strong demand from shoppers who value the Civic Hatchback's efficiency and driving feel should continue to support resale interest.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2020 Honda Civic Hatchback or consider a different year?

Choose the 2020 if:
- 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 8.91% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2020 if you want a well-liked hatchback with strong owner satisfaction and a market that has become a bit more buyer-friendly. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2020 remains the better pick when you want a balance of value, demand, and owner approval.
