Used 2020 Honda Accord for Sale nearMarkham, ON

How much does the 2020 Honda Accord cost?

Prices have softened 14.37% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 170 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Honda Accord a good car?

Generally — the 2020 Honda Accord earns a 4.35/5 user rating and an 8.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

Drivers consistently praise its comfort, stylish design, and strong value, and many also highlight the 2.0T engine and advanced safety features. The Accord is also described as a worthwhile investment, with owner feedback pointing to a car that feels dependable and easy to live with over the long term.

The trade-offs are a base engine that feels underwhelming, plus some concerns about acceleration with the air conditioning on and a few transmission complaints. In use, it is framed as a polished family midsize sedan with a huge back seat and giant trunk, so it suits you best if you want everyday practicality without giving up style or driving enjoyment.

Only 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards careful shopping.

Is the 2020 Honda Accord reliable?

Owners rate it 4.35/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary points to a car that many drivers trust for comfort, value, and a worthwhile ownership experience, with language that suggests it can be counted on over time. The expert assessment also says the Accord can go the distance, providing a decade or more of faithful, useful, and enjoyable service.

Honda’s cost-effectiveness notes reinforce that long-haul impression by describing the Accord as a car that holds its value well. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is that a few drivers reported transmission concerns, so a thorough test drive and service-history check are smart before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Honda Accord?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Touring trim adds 19-inch alloy wheels, a more upscale appearance, and features that lower trims do not get, while other versions use 17-inch wheels that are cheaper to replace. Touring also gets blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, which is a meaningful safety upgrade over the LaneWatch setup on most lower models.
• Powertrain: Most versions use a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder with a CVT and front-wheel drive. If you want more punch, the turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder with a ten-speed automatic is the stronger choice, while the hybrid is the efficiency-focused option.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard on every trim and includes forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, traffic sign recognition, and automatic high beams. Lower trims use LaneWatch instead of blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.
• Infotainment: The available 8-inch touchscreen brings Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and text-messaging support. Touring adds HondaLink subscription services, a Wi-Fi hotspot, navigation, wireless device charging, and a head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The hybrid averaged 5.5 L/100 km in testing, while the turbocharged 2.0-litre returned 8.6 L/100 km on the driving loop and was rated at 9.1 L/100 km combined.

Which 2020 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2020 Honda Accord is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, Sport, EX-L, and Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, but it misses some of the visual polish and convenience upgrades that make the Accord feel especially complete. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model and are comfortable with a simpler setup.
• Sport: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a stronger feature mix, including the ten-speaker premium audio system and the more appealing 19-inch wheel look on certain versions. If you want the sweet spot between price and equipment, this is the one to focus on.
• EX-L: This trim moves you closer to a more upscale feel, making it a good fit if comfort and a richer cabin matter more than chasing the highest-end extras.
• Touring: This is the most fully equipped choice, with the 2.0T powertrain, adaptive dampers, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, the head-up display, navigation, wireless charging, and HondaLink services. Choose it if you want the most complete Accord experience.

Honda Sensing is standard on every trim, but blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is reserved for Touring.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Honda Accord?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 170 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.37% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $22,217 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $22,217 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,944 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside for a future seller. If you buy near the current average, you may need to hold the car longer to recover value through ownership rather than resale timing. The Accord’s strong reputation and broad appeal should still support demand, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.35/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Honda Accord safe?

The 2020 Honda Accord is a Top Safety Pick by the IIHS and earns five-star ratings in every assessment conducted by NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard on every trim and includes forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, traffic sign recognition, and automatic high beams. Lower trims use LaneWatch, while blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is reserved for Touring.

The main caveat is that Honda Sensing could be smoother and more refined, since the adaptive cruise control and warning systems can react too sharply or false-alert in some situations.

Should I buy a 2020 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.37% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.35/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 stands out for its polished driving dynamics, huge back seat, giant trunk, and strong tech.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $24,781 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $22,217 CAD average.
• Honda refined the Accord’s features list and gave it a more elevated feel.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2020 is the smarter buy because prices have eased and the model still delivers a strong mix of space, tech, and safety. If you are willing to pay more for a fresher-feeling setup, the 2021 is the better alternative for price-insensitive buyers.
