Used 2020 Ford Mustang for Sale nearOttawa, ON

How much does the 2020 Ford Mustang cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 170 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 4.7/5, and the expert rating is 8.2/10. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its power, fun driving experience, stylish looks, and comfortable seats. They also appreciate the range of engine choices, which gives you flexibility depending on how much performance you want.

The main trade-offs are limited cargo space and the fact that advanced safety features are not standard. That makes it a stronger fit if you want a characterful sports car than if you need maximum everyday practicality.

Given its role as a nostalgic pony car in Ford’s shifting lineup, it makes the most sense if you value image and driving enjoyment as much as utility. With 31.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to find value.

Is the 2020 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with praise for its power, enjoyable driving character, and overall satisfaction with the purchase. The expert assessment also supports that impression by describing the Mustang as a well-rounded performance car with strong value for money.

Ford’s performance tuning and straightforward mechanical layout should make it easier for you to understand what you’re buying than a more complex luxury sports car. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright reliability and more about choosing an example that has been maintained carefully and not driven hard without proper care.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Ford Mustang?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Bullitt stands out with its Dark Highland Green paint, subtle chrome accents, retro-style wheels, serialized plaque, unique green stitching, and cue-ball shifter. It is also expensive, so you should weigh the special-edition details against the cost and the cheaper, less ornate alternatives.
• Powertrain: The lineup spans a 310-horsepower turbocharged 2.3-litre four-cylinder engine through to much more powerful V8 options, with manual, automatic, and dual-clutch transmissions depending on the model. If you want the Bullitt, it uses a 5.0-litre V8 with added output and a six-speed manual.
• Safety package: The car includes a reversing camera, MyKey, and 911 Assist, while blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning is available with the Electronics Package. Advanced driver-assistance features are otherwise limited, especially on lower-spec examples.
• Infotainment: You get a recessed 8-inch touchscreen with Sync 3, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and an available 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system. The system is functional, but its age is starting to show.
• Fuel efficiency: The four-cylinder EcoBoost returns 11.2 L/100 km in the city, 7.3 on the highway, and 9.4 combined. The Bullitt sits at 16.4/10.2/13.6 L/100 km.

Which 2020 Ford Mustang trim should I buy?

The 2020 Ford Mustang is offered in 1 trim level: Bullitt.

Here's the short version:

The Bullitt is the clear choice if you want the most distinctive styling and the strongest nostalgia factor in this model year. It adds the special-edition look, extra power, and a more focused enthusiast feel, but it also carries a premium price that makes it best suited to buyers who specifically want the Bullitt identity rather than just a Mustang.

The safety package is limited, with a reversing camera, MyKey, and 911 Assist included, while blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning is only available with the Electronics Package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Ford Mustang?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 170 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $32,753 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $37,630 CAD sits slightly above last year's $37,326 CAD.

That small increase suggests the market has remained stable rather than swinging sharply in either direction. For a future seller, that usually points to predictable depreciation rather than a sudden drop in value.

Because demand appears steady and the model continues to attract enthusiast interest, a well-kept example should remain relatively easy to market. Strong condition, desirable equipment, and clear service history should matter more than trying to time a dramatic price move.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Ford Mustang safe?

The Mustang gets good crash-test ratings, for the most part, with Good ratings in most IIHS crashworthiness tests and an Acceptable rating for driver protection in a small overlap frontal-impact collision. It earns five-star ratings in every NHTSA test, including rollover resistance.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety equipment includes a reversing camera, MyKey, and 911 Assist. Blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning is available with the Electronics Package, so you should check whether a used example has that option if safety tech matters to you.

The main caveat is that the car does not come with a broad suite of semi-autonomous driver-assistance features, so you should not expect the kind of standard active safety coverage you might find in some newer rivals.

Should I buy a 2020 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It captures Ford’s transition-era Mustang identity with nostalgic styling and strong enthusiast appeal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $29,022 CAD, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $37,630 CAD average.
• It is a special-edition Bullitt with extra style, extra power, and a strong movie-car connection.

The bottom line: Choose the 2020 if you want the current-year market balance of stable pricing, strong owner satisfaction, and broad enthusiast appeal. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2019 is the better value path, especially if you want the Bullitt’s special-edition character.
