Used 2020 Dodge Challenger for Sale nearMontreal, QC

How much does the 2020 Dodge Challenger cost?

Prices have softened 25.85% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 70 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers comparing used Challenger examples.

Is the 2020 Dodge Challenger a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Dodge Challenger earns a 4.85/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, stylish looks, comfortable ride, spacious interior, and unique design. The user feedback also points to strong handling and responsive engine character, especially with the Hemi options, which fits the Challenger’s muscle-car personality.

The trade-offs are familiar ones for this model: fuel costs can be a concern, back seat space is limited, and some shoppers may wish for a few more convenience features. In practical terms, the Challenger makes the most sense if you want a distinctive coupe with character, usable space, and strong everyday appeal rather than a conventional commuter.

With 21.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a reasonable chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2020 Dodge Challenger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.85/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many shoppers, with praise centred on the car’s power, comfort, and overall driving enjoyment. That kind of satisfaction usually matters in the used market because it suggests people are happy to live with the car over time, not just on the test drive.

The expert assessment also supports that impression by describing the Challenger as a well-rounded performance car that combines modern technology with everyday usability. The first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house, which helps reduce early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the core character of the car and more about how it was treated before you buy it, especially given the performance focus and the possibility of higher running costs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Dodge Challenger?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SXT starts with 18-inch aluminium wheels, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, remote keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, and a 7-inch touchscreen. The GT adds 20-inch wheels, a hood scoop, remote start, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, and unique houndstooth cloth seats. The R/T adds a V8 engine and performance upgrades, while the Scat Pack 392 brings heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and the larger 8.4-inch touchscreen. The Challenger’s cabin is spacious and driver-focused, but the styling can feel dated if you do not like the retro theme.
• Powertrain: The SXT and GT use a 3.6-litre V6 with 305 horsepower and 268 pound-feet of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic and available AWD. The R/T uses a 5.7-litre Hemi V8, the Scat Pack 392 steps up to a 6.4-litre Hemi V8, and the Hellcat models move to supercharged 6.2-litre V8 power. The Scat Pack 392 is described as the best bet for performance-for-the-dollar.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes front- and side-impact airbags, supplemental side curtain airbags, traction control, brake assist, and a child-seat anchoring system. The optional technology group adds forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, and automatic high beams. Other optional safety features include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path alert, and the ParkSense reverse sensing system.
• Infotainment: The standard setup is a 7-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The available Uconnect 8.4 adds a larger screen and Garmin-based navigation with real-time traffic updates. The system is easy to use, with redundant buttons and dials that make it less distracting.
• Fuel efficiency: The base 3.6-litre V6 with rear-wheel drive returns 12.4 L/100 km in the city, 7.8 on the highway, and 10.3 combined. The V6 with AWD returns 12.8 city, 8.7 highway, and 11.0 combined. The 5.7-litre V8 with the eight-speed automatic returns 14.7 city, 9.4 highway, and 12.3 combined.

Which 2020 Dodge Challenger trim should I buy?

The 2020 Dodge Challenger is offered in 9 trim levels: SXT, GT, R/T, Scat Pack 392, Scat Pack 392 Widebody, SRT Hellcat, SRT Hellcat Widebody, SRT Hellcat Redeye, and SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody.

Here's the short version:

• SXT: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Challenger’s core look and feel with the standard 7-inch touchscreen, dual-zone climate control, and a usable everyday feature set. It makes sense if you want the styling and space without chasing performance extras.
• GT: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds more visual presence, remote start, paddle shifters, and the option of AWD. If you want a more complete daily-driver package without jumping to V8 pricing, this is the trim to focus on.
• R/T: This is the first real V8 step-up, and it adds the 5.7-litre Hemi plus performance upgrades and active exhaust. Choose it if you want a stronger muscle-car feel and better straight-line character.
• Scat Pack 392: This is the performance-for-the-dollar sweet spot, with the 6.4-litre Hemi, Brembo brakes, launch control, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and the larger 8.4-inch touchscreen. It is the trim to buy if you want the strongest blend of speed and equipment.
• Scat Pack 392 Widebody: This adds flared fenders, wider tires, and a wider track, which sharpen the car’s cornering confidence. It suits buyers who want the Scat Pack’s power with a more aggressive stance and added handling hardware.
• SRT Hellcat: This is for buyers who want supercharged V8 power and are willing to accept the higher running costs that come with it. It is a serious step up in performance and character.
• SRT Hellcat Widebody: This adds the wider body and chassis stance to the Hellcat formula, making it the more complete high-performance choice if you want the extra grip and presence.
• SRT Hellcat Redeye: This is the extreme-power version, with even more output than the standard Hellcat. It is best for shoppers who want maximum straight-line performance and are comfortable with the cost.
• SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody: This is the range-topper, combining the Redeye’s output with the Widebody’s broader stance and more planted feel. It is the most serious choice in the lineup.

The safety package is optional rather than standard, so make sure the example you are considering has the driver-assistance equipment you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Dodge Challenger?

The market looks moderate for selective buyers, with enough inventory to compare examples and enough price movement to create opportunities if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 21.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 70 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 25.85% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $34,063 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Dodge Challenger's resale value?

The current average of $35,065 CAD sits slightly below last year's $47,287 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may face more price pressure than owners saw a year ago. If you buy now, you are entering at a lower average price point than the recent past, which can help cushion depreciation if the market stabilises.

The Challenger’s broad appeal still helps support demand, especially because it combines strong performance, distinctive styling, and everyday usability. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment should remain easier to move than neglected ones, particularly if they present cleanly and have the right trim mix.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.85/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Dodge Challenger safe?

The 2020 Dodge Challenger earns a Marginal overall score from IIHS crash testing and four-star ratings in front driver’s side crash testing and rollover, plus five-star ratings for front passenger side testing from NHTSA.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include front- and side-impact airbags, supplemental side curtain airbags, traction control, brake assist, and a child-seat anchoring system. The optional technology group adds forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, and automatic high beams. Other optional safety features include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path alert, and the ParkSense reverse sensing system.

The main caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, so you should pay close attention to the equipment list on any used example you are considering.

Should I buy a 2020 Dodge Challenger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 21.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 25.85% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.85/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 model year is largely unchanged, but it adds several new colours, some additional interior design choices, and a 50th Anniversary package for some trims.

The bottom line: If you want the Challenger’s classic muscle-car formula with modern usability, the 2020 is a strong choice because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction and broad trim variety. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can focus on the trims and listings that sit near the lower end of the current range, but the 2020 remains the right pick if you want the updated look and equipment mix without moving to a newer year.
