Is the 2018 Dodge Challenger a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Dodge Challenger earns a 4.71/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its powerful engine options, roomy interior, and comfortable everyday usability, while the Challenger’s muscle-car style remains a major draw. For you, that means it works well if you want a characterful coupe with strong presence and practical features like a user-friendly infotainment system. With 26.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Dodge Challenger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, with enthusiasm centred on the car’s performance and comfort. That said, you should still expect the usual used-car checks, especially on a performance-oriented coupe that may have seen harder use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the model’s appeal and more about finding an example that has been maintained properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Dodge Challenger?

This is a seller’s market, so you should act selectively and be ready to move when a well-priced example appears.

• Deal availability: 26.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 92 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 66.17% year-over-year.

If you find a listing below $37,720 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Dodge Challenger's resale value?

The current average of $66,982 CAD sits slightly above last year's $40,309 CAD.

That kind of price growth suggests the 2018 Challenger has gained value in the market, which can be encouraging if you plan to sell later. Strong demand appears to be supporting prices, especially for shoppers who want a roomy, distinctive muscle car with broad appeal. If you buy well and keep the car in good condition, the current trend suggests there may still be healthy interest when it is time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Dodge Challenger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 26.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices are up 66.17% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of owner satisfaction, broad appeal, and a still-active used market, the 2018 is a solid year to target. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth considering, but the 2018 stands out when you want the classic Challenger experience and are willing to pay for it.
