Used 2020 Acura TLX for Sale nearScarborough, ON

How much does the 2020 Acura TLX cost?

Prices have softened 16.34% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 68 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers to compare.

Is the 2020 Acura TLX a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Acura TLX earns a 4.62/5 user rating and a 6.83/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

Owners commonly praise the smooth ride, handling, and overall features, and many also like the appealing exterior design. The TLX’s enthusiast-friendly character comes through in the driving experience, especially when you want a premium sedan that feels engaging on a familiar road.

The trade-offs are clear: the interior layout can be frustrating, and the technology feels dated. In practical terms, this is a car that makes the most sense if you value driving enjoyment and value over a cutting-edge cabin.

The market also looks reasonably supportive, with 30.9% of listings classified as good or great deals.

Is the 2020 Acura TLX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.62/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that many people feel good about living with over time, with repeated praise for the smooth ride and overall dependability of the ownership experience. The expert review also describes the TLX as a cost-effective way to own a luxury car, which supports the case for long-term value.

That said, used buyers should still pay close attention to condition and maintenance history, especially because the car’s age and complex equipment can make neglected examples more expensive to live with.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Acura TLX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The A-Spec package adds 19-inch wheels, revised bumper designs, side sill skirts, and oversize round exhaust outlets, while the Technology Package is recommended for its comfort, convenience, safety, and infotainment upgrades. The best-value choice is the SH-AWD with Technology Package, and the SH-AWD with Technology and A-Spec adds the sportiest appearance.
• Powertrain: Front-wheel-drive models use a 206-horsepower, 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, while SH-AWD versions use a 290-hp, 3.5-litre V6 with a nine-speed automatic. The V6 is smooth and strong, but its peak torque arrives relatively high in the rev range.
• Safety package: Every TLX includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and road-departure mitigation. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is included on all but the base TLX with no option packages.
• Infotainment: The TLX uses dual screens, with a non-touch top display and a touchscreen below it. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, and an on-board navigation system is optional.
• Fuel efficiency: On the testing loop, the TLX returned 10.2 litres per 100 kilometres, and Natural Resources Canada says this car should consume 10.3 L/100 km in combined driving for non-A-Spec SH-AWD models and FWD models, with lower figures for some versions.

Which 2020 Acura TLX trim should I buy?

The 2020 Acura TLX is offered in 3 trim levels: TLX, TLX with Technology Package, and TLX with Technology and A-Spec.

Here's the short version:

• TLX: This is the entry point, but it misses some of the convenience and safety upgrades that make the higher trims easier to recommend.
• TLX with Technology Package: This is the best-value trim because it adds the comfort, convenience, safety, and infotainment enhancements CarGurus recommends.
• TLX with Technology and A-Spec: Choose this if you want the sportiest look, with the styling upgrades that make the TLX stand out more clearly.

The safety-package note is simple: the blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert is included on all but the base TLX with no option packages.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Acura TLX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to compare listings and wait for the right example.

• Deal availability: 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 68 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.34% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $24,458 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Acura TLX's resale value?

The current average of $24,458 CAD sits slightly below last year's $29,235 CAD.

That price drop suggests the TLX has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer market if depreciation continues at the same pace. For you, that can be a benefit now if you’re buying, but it may limit upside later if you plan to resell in the near term.

The TLX’s value story is still helped by its strong owner satisfaction and premium positioning. If demand stays steady for well-kept examples, especially SH-AWD cars with desirable packages, resale should remain more stable than the broader market might suggest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Acura TLX safe?

The 2020 Acura TLX does not qualify for a Top Safety Pick due to an Acceptable rather than Good result in the small overlap frontal-impact test on the driver’s side. It earns five-star ratings in every test conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), including the rollover test.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Every TLX includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and road-departure mitigation. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is included on all but the base TLX with no option packages.

The main caveat is that the driver-assistance systems can feel less refined than those in newer vehicles, and the IIHS result shows that the structure is not among the class leaders.

Should I buy a 2020 Acura TLX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.34% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines SH-AWD driving enjoyment with strong value and a clear enthusiast focus.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $30,996 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $24,458 CAD average.
• It brings a redesigned exterior, interior, and powertrain choices.

The bottom line: If you want the better value and the more established used-market choice, the 2020 is the smarter buy. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer-generation design and a fresh start, the 2021 is the better alternative. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2020’s lower average price and softer market make it the easier recommendation.
