This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 26.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 136 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.39% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,472 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Toyota Camry's resale value?

The current average of $21,583 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,057 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, the current trend suggests you should focus on buying well and keeping the car in strong condition. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 26.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.39% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $23,694 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $21,583 CAD average.
• It adds all-wheel drive and a TRD performance package.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2019 if you want the better value and are comfortable shopping the used market carefully. If you are willing to pay more for added capability and a broader appeal, the 2020 is the stronger alternative.
