How much does the 2020 Toyota Camry cost?

Prices have softened 4.87% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 107 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2020 Toyota Camry a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Toyota Camry earns a 4.7/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

Drivers consistently praise its reliability, comfort, and great fuel economy, and many also like its stylish design and smooth ride. The Camry’s appeal is especially strong if you want a practical midsize sedan with broader reach than the usual family-car brief, including available all-wheel drive and a more expressive look.

The trade-offs are that some buyers may want more horsepower and more advanced options, and the technology can take some getting used to. Even so, the Camry’s mix of everyday usability and broad appeal makes it easy to recommend if you value comfort and confidence over flash.

With 27.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful value in the market.

Is the 2020 Toyota Camry reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as reliable, and many say it feels like a car they can count on for the long haul. The expert review also points to Toyota’s reputation for quality and value, along with a powertrain lineup that is built around proven, dependable hardware.

Toyota backs the Camry with a three-year/60,000-kilometre vehicle warranty and a five-year/100,000-kilometre powertrain warranty, which helps reduce early ownership risk. For used buyers, the main long-term concern is making sure any recall work and routine maintenance have been handled properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Toyota Camry?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LE is the most affordable entry point, and it can be equipped with AWD and an upgrade package. Higher trims add more luxury equipment, while the XSE and XLE bring more upscale materials and features.
• Powertrain: You can choose a 2.5-litre four-cylinder with FWD or AWD, or a 3.5-litre V6 with FWD. The four-cylinder is the efficiency-minded choice, while the V6 adds more power but higher operating costs.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense is standard and includes pre-collision braking with pedestrian detection, dynamic radar adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning with steering assist, and automatic high beams. Safety Connect is standard on all but the base model, where it is part of a package. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is optional.
• Infotainment: Lower trims get a 7-inch screen, while an 8-inch upgrade is available. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard, and some trims offer Remote Connect and a larger head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The front-drive four-cylinder is rated at 7.6 L/100 km in XLE and XSE trim, while AWD raises that to 8.4 L/100 km. Front-drive V6 models use 9.0 L/100 km, except for the XSE at 9.2 L/100 km and the TRD at 9.4 L/100 km.

Which 2020 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?

The 2020 Toyota Camry is offered in 4 trim levels: LE, SE, XLE, XSE.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the value-focused starting point, and it is the trim to consider if you want the lowest entry price and the option of AWD. It makes the most sense if you want the Camry’s core strengths without paying for extras.
• SE: This trim adds more colour choices and better interior trimmings, including synthetic leather seats instead of cloth. It is the best-value pick if you want a nicer cabin without moving too far up the price ladder.
• XLE: This is the more comfort-leaning choice, with luxury equipment such as leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, and the audio and infotainment upgrade. It suits you if you want a more upscale daily driver.
• XSE: This is the sportier-feeling trim, with the same upscale equipment path as the XLE but a more expressive personality. It is the right pick if you want the Camry’s style-forward side and are willing to pay more for it.

Toyota Safety Sense is standard across the lineup, while Safety Connect is included on every Camry except the base model, where it is available in a package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Toyota Camry?

This is a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you have room to shop carefully without waiting for a dramatic bargain.

• Deal availability: 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 107 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.87% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,301 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Toyota Camry's resale value?

The current average of $23,694 CAD sits slightly below last year's $24,907 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you if you are buying now, but it also means a future seller may face a more competitive market if prices stay under pressure. The Camry’s broad appeal should help support demand, especially because shoppers continue to value its reliability and practicality.

If you keep the car in good condition and maintain it properly, you should have a solid chance of attracting buyers later. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Toyota Camry safe?

The 2020 Toyota Camry earns a five-star rating from NHTSA and Top Safety Pick+ recognition from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense is standard, and it includes pre-collision braking with pedestrian detection, dynamic radar adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning with steering assist, and automatic high beams. Every Camry also gets 10 airbags, stability control, and a backup camera, while blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is optional.

One caveat is that Safety Connect is not standard on the base model, and it must be added through a package there. There was also a recall for leaking engine coolant affecting some four-cylinder models.

Should I buy a 2020 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• This year adds available all-wheel drive and the TRD package on the XSE V6.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $24,061 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $23,694 CAD average.
• It brings updated infotainment displays and an upgraded driver-aid package.

The bottom line: If you want the better price and the unique 2020-specific appeal of available AWD, the 2020 is the smarter buy. If you are willing to spend a bit more for newer infotainment and driver aids, the 2021 is the cleaner upgrade path.
