Is the 2019 Tesla Model 3 a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 4.8/5, which points to strong overall satisfaction. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want an electric car that feels modern and quick rather than merely practical. Is the 2019 Tesla Model 3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that many drivers find dependable in day-to-day use, with praise centred on its smooth driving experience and the confidence that comes from strong satisfaction over time. The same reviews also suggest that you should be prepared for Tesla’s unique approach to controls and features, since some owners mention an adjustment period. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright dissatisfaction and more about whether the car’s unconventional setup suits your habits.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Tesla Model 3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to compare listings and wait for the right one.

• Deal availability: 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 195 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.10% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,326 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Tesla Model 3's resale value?

The current average of $22,439 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,896 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has eased, which can make the car more attractive to you as a buyer today but may also mean future resale gains are more limited if prices stay soft. Even so, the current pricing still sits within a healthy year-round band, which helps support a more stable ownership picture. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Tesla Model 3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.10% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value, owner satisfaction, and current market softness, the 2019 is the primary year to focus on. If you are especially price-sensitive, it is still worth comparing nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2019’s stronger satisfaction signal and current deal availability.
