Is the 2019 Subaru Legacy a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2019 Subaru Legacy, and it fits buyers who want a midsize sedan with standard all-wheel drive, a comfortable and refined driving experience, and a practical focus over flash. The Legacy’s appeal is strongest if you value traction and all-weather confidence, along with useful everyday technology and a broad spread of safety equipment. Is the 2019 Subaru Legacy reliable?

The 2019 Legacy’s standard all-wheel drive, strong safety equipment, and comfort-oriented design point to a car that should suit steady, everyday use well. Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Subaru Legacy?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 50 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.45% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,923 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Subaru Legacy's resale value?

The current average of $17,811 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,890 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Legacy is currently more buyer-friendly than seller-friendly, which can make it harder to command a premium if you plan to sell soon. If you buy at the right price, though, the lower entry point can help protect your ownership costs. The model’s practical appeal and standard AWD should continue to support steady demand among shoppers who want a comfortable, winter-capable sedan.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Subaru Legacy or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 36% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.45% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 Legacy makes the most sense if you want standard all-wheel drive, a comfort-first driving experience, and a used price that has eased from last year. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2019 is the better fit when you want the strongest mix of value, traction, and buyer satisfaction.
