Is the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Owners consistently praise its safety features, interior comfort, and enjoyable driving experience. That lines up well with the Crosstrek’s practical small-crossover mission: you get standard all-wheel drive, useful cargo space, and a compact size that still works well for everyday use.

For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about the overall reputation and more about finding a well-kept example with a clean service history.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Subaru Crosstrek?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to shop carefully and wait for the right listing.

• Deal availability: 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 182 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.61% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $19,018 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $20,239 CAD sits slightly below last year's $22,390 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can be good news if you are buying now but less ideal if you plan to sell soon. If prices stay near current levels, future sellers may need to be more realistic about asking prices to move a used Crosstrek quickly.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.61% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 is a strong choice if you want the Crosstrek’s practical formula at a softened price point, especially if you value owner satisfaction and a broad pool of listings. If you are more price-sensitive, it is worth comparing nearby model years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2019’s stronger market position.
