That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the truck more attractive to buyers now but may also limit upside for a future seller if prices stay soft. If you buy at the lower end of the range and keep the truck in strong condition, you give yourself a better chance of protecting value later. Demand should remain supported by the model's heavy-duty capability and upscale appeal.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.43/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 27.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.00% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.43/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a heavy-duty truck that blends serious capability with a more upscale cabin, the 2019 is a strong choice. For price-sensitive buyers, it also makes sense to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained example with the strongest asking price, since the softer market gives you room to be selective.
