Is the 2019 RAM 2500 a good car?

Yes — the 4.58/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the truck’s performance, comfort, and towing capability, and they also like the upscale interior features and powerful diesel option. That makes sense if you want a heavy-duty pickup that still feels refined and well equipped for daily use, work, or towing. With 31.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2019 RAM 2500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.58/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a truck that feels dependable in the ways that matter most to heavy-duty buyers, especially when it comes to performance and towing confidence. The repeated praise for the Cummins diesel and the truck’s comfort suggests many owners feel they can count on it for demanding use over the long term. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about satisfaction and more about making sure the truck’s condition and maintenance history match its hard-working reputation.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 RAM 2500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right truck.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 216 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.41% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $40,239 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 RAM 2500's resale value?

The current average of $40,239 CAD sits slightly below last year's $46,473 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at the current average or below, you may have less depreciation pressure than someone who bought when prices were higher. Strong demand for well-equipped heavy-duty trucks can still support future resale, especially if your truck is in clean condition and has desirable equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.58/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.41% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.58/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $41,723 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $40,239 CAD average.
• It adds a more polished presence and a stronger emphasis on luxury and innovation.

The bottom line: Choose the 2019 if you want the better value and are comfortable shopping the used market for the right combination of condition, equipment, and price. Consider the 2020 if you want a slightly newer truck and are willing to pay more for a more polished feel; price-sensitive buyers should stay focused on the 2019 and target listings near the low end of the range.
