Is the 2019 RAM 1500 a good car?

Yes — the 4.73/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the smooth ride, powerful engine, and spacious, well-appointed interior, which fits well if you want a full-size pickup that feels more refined in everyday driving. The 2019 redesign also makes it appealing if you value updated technology and a more comfortable cabin in a work-capable truck. Is the 2019 RAM 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.73/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that many drivers find dependable and easy to live with over time, especially because of its smooth ride and strong overall comfort. That said, some owners mentioned build-quality concerns, so a careful inspection matters on any used example. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the truck’s core appeal and more about finding one that has been maintained properly and not worn hard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 RAM 1500?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to shop, but the best listings still deserve quick action.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,395 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.36% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,319 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $27,319 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,172 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more buyer-friendly, which can make future resale a little more competitive for sellers. If you buy now, you may be entering at a relatively softer point in the cycle, which can help limit your upfront cost. For a future seller, that also means resale performance will depend more heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment level.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.73/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.36% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.73/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $31,396 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $27,319 CAD average.
• The EcoDiesel returns across the range.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2019 if you want the redesigned truck at a lower entry price and you value comfort, cabin quality, and broad market availability. Consider the 2020 if the diesel option matters enough to justify paying more, but price-sensitive buyers will likely find the 2019 the better value.
