Is the 2019 Porsche 911 a good car?

Owners consistently praise its performance and handling, and they also highlight the overall driving experience. Is the 2019 Porsche 911 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Reviewers describe it as reliable and dependable, and they also point to a trouble-free ownership experience. That kind of feedback matters for a used sports car, especially one that buyers often keep for the long term.

For used buyers, the main ownership risk is paying a premium for a car that may still need careful maintenance budgeting.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Porsche 911?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 61 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.31% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $149,578 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Porsche 911's resale value?

The current average of $189,199 CAD sits slightly below last year's $231,619 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help future buyers but may limit upside for a seller who paid more recently. Even so, the 911’s strong desirability and broad appeal should help it remain easier to move than many other used sports cars. If you buy well now, you may still benefit from steady demand later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Porsche 911 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.31% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $151,769 CAD, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $189,199 CAD average.
• It adds the next-generation 992 design and a more modern overall feel.

The bottom line: The 2019 makes sense if you want the established 991-era 911 with strong owner satisfaction and some deal availability. If your priority is lower pricing, the 2020 is the better value path to consider.
