Is the 2019 Nissan Sentra a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Nissan Sentra earns a 4.6/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Owners consistently praise its value, comfort, smooth driving experience, technology features, and fuel economy. That lines up well with its role as a practical compact sedan for everyday commuting, especially if you want an easygoing daily driver rather than something sporty.

With 28.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a reasonable chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2019 Nissan Sentra reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that many people find dependable, comfortable, and easy to live with over time. That said, the model’s reputation is also shaped by CVT-related complaints, so you should pay close attention to service history and how the transmission behaves on a test drive.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the car has been maintained properly, especially if you want to avoid expensive surprises later.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Nissan Sentra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 28.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 144 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.32% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,877 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Nissan Sentra's resale value?

The current average of $11,877 CAD sits slightly below last year's $14,722 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car more attractive to you as a buyer but less favourable if you plan to sell soon. If you buy at today’s average, your future resale value may be influenced by how well the car is maintained and how much demand remains for affordable compact sedans.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Nissan Sentra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 28.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.32% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 Sentra makes sense if you want a value-focused compact sedan with a comfortable, practical personality and you find a well-priced example. If you’re more price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2019’s stronger market position.
