Is the 2019 Nissan Qashqai a good car?

The 2019 Nissan Qashqai sits in a moderate market position, so it can make sense if you want a used SUV with pricing that is not at the top of the market. 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a useful share of value-oriented options to consider.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Nissan Qashqai?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you have room to shop carefully and wait for the right listing.

• Deal availability: 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 290 listings available.

The current average of $15,582 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,257 CAD.

For a future seller, that points to a softer pricing environment than a year ago. If you plan to sell later, your return will depend heavily on how well you maintain the vehicle and how closely your asking price matches the market when you list it.

Should I buy a 2019 Nissan Qashqai or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.65% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2019 is a sensible choice if you want to shop a year with softer pricing and a fair number of value-priced listings. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of asking price and condition.
