Is the 2019 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Generally — the 4.33/5 user rating suggests you’re looking at a well-liked used SUV. The 2019 Pathfinder’s appeal comes from its three rows of seating, spacious interior, and family-friendly layout, so it makes sense if you need room for people and cargo without moving up to a larger vehicle. Its towing ability is another practical strength, especially if you want an SUV that can handle everyday duties and occasional hauling. The market also shows 28.2% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Owners rate it 4.33/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2019 Pathfinder’s reliability picture is shaped by its comfort-focused role and the fact that earlier fourth-generation models were affected by CVT concerns. That makes maintenance history and a careful test drive especially important when you’re shopping used. For long-term ownership, you’ll want to be selective about examples with clear service records and smooth transmission behaviour.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 206 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.05% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,258 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $18,258 CAD sits slightly below last year's $22,553 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Pathfinder easier to buy now but may also limit near-term upside for a future seller. If you’re planning to resell later, the current pricing trend means your return will depend heavily on how well the vehicle is maintained and how competitively it’s priced when you list it. A clean history and strong condition matter more when the market has already softened.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.33/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.05% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.33/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a roomy, capable three-row SUV with strong towing ability and a price that has come down meaningfully, the 2019 Pathfinder is the better fit. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than chasing the newest badge.
