This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 216 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.28% compared with last year.

What is the 2019 Nissan Kicks's resale value?

The current average of $14,239 CAD sits slightly below last year's $16,807 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make future resale gains harder to count on if you buy at the wrong point. If you plan to sell later, your best protection is buying well now so you have less depreciation room left to absorb. Strong value positioning can still help the Kicks remain appealing to budget-minded shoppers.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Nissan Kicks or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.28% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 is a sensible pick if you want a value-oriented Kicks with a favourable price trend and decent deal availability. If you're especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs any differences in market supply or condition.
