Is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as a luxury SUV that blends a premium feel with a conservative, family-friendly character, and its familiar layout may appeal if you want something polished rather than flashy. In Canada, standard 4Matic all-wheel drive, an automatic transmission, and a quiet, comfortable, spacious cabin make it a practical choice for everyday use. With 30.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2019 GLE’s strengths include a familiar, well-equipped layout and a reputation for being quiet, comfortable, and spacious. That said, electrical glitches are not unknown, and the air suspension fitted to some versions can be problematic and expensive to fix.

For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is more about specific equipment and maintenance history than the basic concept of the vehicle.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings closely.

• Deal availability: 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 129 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.67% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $39,844 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $40,019 CAD sits slightly below last year's $41,979 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. The GLE’s premium positioning and family-friendly appeal should help it hold interest among shoppers looking for a comfortable luxury SUV. Still, resale performance will depend heavily on condition, equipment, and maintenance records.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.67% compared with last year.

The bottom line: If you want a used luxury SUV that feels substantial, quiet, and family-friendly, the 2019 GLE is a sensible choice. If your priority is stretching your budget further, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-priced examples with a strong service history.
