How much does the 2019 Kia Sportage cost?

Prices have softened 18.38% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 237 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare before you decide.

Is the 2019 Kia Sportage a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Kia Sportage earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise its smooth ride, comfort, and spacious interior, and many also like the good handling and upscale-feeling features. That makes it a sensible fit if you want a practical family SUV with a comfortable day-to-day driving experience. With 30.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2019 Kia Sportage reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise centred on comfort and the kind of everyday usability that tends to support long-term confidence. For used buyers, that suggests the bigger risk is less about reputation and more about finding a well-kept example with a clean maintenance history.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Kia Sportage?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 237 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.38% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,831 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Kia Sportage's resale value?

The current average of $14,831 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,171 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Sportage easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the softer pricing means you should expect more competition from similarly priced listings. On the other hand, a model with strong owner satisfaction can still hold buyer interest better than one with weaker reviews.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Kia Sportage or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.38% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a comfortable compact SUV with strong owner approval and a market that currently favours shoppers, the 2019 is a solid year to target. If your priority is stretching your budget further, you may also want to compare nearby model years and focus on the best-priced listings rather than the newest one available.
