How much does the 2019 Hyundai Tucson cost?

Prices have softened 13.93% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 458 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of choice if you're comparing condition, mileage, and equipment.

Is the 2019 Hyundai Tucson a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Hyundai Tucson earns a 4.67/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its spacious interior, great handling, and good value for money, and many also like the updated features and luxury amenities. That fits well if you want a compact SUV that leans into practicality, everyday usability, and a more polished feature set. With 28.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Hyundai Tucson reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a vehicle that many owners find dependable and easy to live with over time, especially when they value comfort, space, and a well-rounded ownership experience. The same feedback also suggests that the Tucson’s appeal is tied to its everyday usefulness rather than flashy performance, which can be a good sign for buyers who want a straightforward used SUV. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is ending up with a higher-priced example that does not deliver enough value for its equipment and condition.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Hyundai Tucson?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly when you find a strong example.

• Deal availability: 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 458 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.93% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,423 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $16,457 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,119 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Tucson easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you purchase at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned to preserve value than someone who pays near the top of the range. The current trend also suggests that resale performance will depend heavily on trim, mileage, and overall presentation rather than on broad market momentum.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.93% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 Tucson is the better pick if you want a well-equipped compact SUV with strong owner approval and a market that has become more buyer-friendly. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you may also want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of price, condition, and equipment.
