Used 2024 Hyundai Tucson for Sale near Thornhill, ON

How much does the 2024 Hyundai Tucson cost?

Prices have softened 13.29% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 617 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Tucson a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Hyundai Tucson earns a 4.6/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its great features, sleek design, and value for money, and many also like the spacious interior and modern technology. The Tucson’s broad appeal comes through in its well-rounded character: it is aimed at shoppers who want a capable small SUV with an attractive price tag and a strong value proposition.

The trade-offs are worth noting. The infotainment system can be frustrating, and the tech can be less than intuitive at times. The powertrain is also described as disappointing overall, even though the turbocharged setup is energetic.

With its balance of space, styling, and equipment, it suits you best if you want an all-around compact SUV rather than one built to dominate a single category. Good and great deals account for 29.8% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Tucson reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable and easy to live with, with praise centred on its value, features, and everyday usability. That kind of owner confidence matters if you want a used SUV you can count on over the long term.

The expert evaluation also supports that impression by describing the Tucson as a well-rounded SUV with a comfortable and spacious cabin, helpful technology, and a strong value proposition. Hyundai’s 5-year/100,000-kilometre new vehicle warranty also helps reduce early ownership risk if you are shopping a used example that still has coverage remaining.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about whether you will be satisfied with the powertrain and infotainment experience over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Hyundai Tucson?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Preferred trim gives you 17-inch alloy wheels and roof rails, while the N Line adds 19-inch alloy wheels and sporty accents. The Luxury trim adds heated outboard rear seats, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and rear occupant alert features, while the Ultimate brings the most equipment, including ventilated front seats, leather upholstery, memory settings, and advanced parking aids. The base Preferred is the one to watch if you want the best value, but you should make sure the equipment level matches your needs.
• Powertrain: The standard gas model uses a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with 187 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. It is fine around town, but it can feel short on motivation when you need to merge or pass.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high beams, driver attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Higher trims add front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree parking camera system, Smart Park remote-parking, and a blind-spot camera system.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a fully digital instrument panel. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are wired only, and the interface can be frustrating at times.
• Fuel efficiency: The standard gas AWD model is rated at 10.0 L/100 km in the city, 7.9 L/100 km on the highway, and 9.1 L/100 km combined.

Which 2024 Hyundai Tucson trim should I buy?

The 2024 Hyundai Tucson is offered in 4 trim levels: Preferred, N Line, Luxury, and Ultimate.

Here's the short version:

• Preferred: This is the value play if you want the Tucson’s core strengths without stretching your budget. You still get a 10.25-inch touchscreen, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, push-button start, and a strong safety suite.
• N Line: Choose this if you want a sportier look and feel, plus extras like 19-inch alloy wheels, combination leather and cloth seats, ambient lighting, paddle shifters, aluminum pedals, and a Bose 8-speaker sound system.
• Luxury: This trim adds meaningful comfort and convenience upgrades, including heated outboard rear seats, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and rear occupant alert features. It is a good middle ground if you want more everyday polish.
• Ultimate: This is the most fully equipped version, with ventilated front seats, leather upholstery, memory settings, front parking distance warning, remote smart park assist, rear parking collision avoidance, highway drive assist, a surround-view camera, and a blind-view monitor.

The safety package starts strong on the base trim and expands further on the Ultimate, so you do not need to buy at the top of the range to get a solid safety foundation.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Hyundai Tucson?

It looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 617 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.29% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,065 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $29,068 CAD sits slightly below last year's $33,522 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Tucson has become more accessible for used buyers, which can make it easier for you to enter the market now. For a future seller, though, softer pricing means you may need to be realistic about what the vehicle will bring at trade-in or private sale.

The good news is that the Tucson’s broad appeal should help support demand. It offers a strong mix of space, safety, and value, which tends to keep it relevant with shoppers looking for a practical compact SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Tucson safe?

The 2024 Tucson earns a Good overall score from the IIHS in most phases of crash testing, an Acceptable score for its standard headlights, and a Superior score for crash-prevention technology. It also earns five-star ratings in a frontal crash test and four-star ratings in a rollover test from NHTSA.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high beams, driver attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Higher trims add front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree parking camera system, Smart Park remote-parking, and a blind-spot camera system.

The main caveat is that the standard headlights score less strongly than the rest of the safety package, so if you do a lot of night driving, that is worth keeping in mind.

Should I buy a 2024 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.29% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 stands out as a well-rounded compact SUV with strong safety, good space, and a good value proposition.

The bottom line: If you want a used Tucson with a strong mix of value, safety, and everyday usability, the 2024 is a sensible choice. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on the best-equipped example you can find within your budget.
