Is the 2019 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Honda Odyssey earns a 4.95/5 user rating, which points to very strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its spacious interior, comfort, and family-friendly features, including strong safety technology and useful convenience equipment. It also fits well if you want a practical minivan with a surprisingly car-like feel and a broad list of amenities for daily family use. Is the 2019 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 4.95/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable and easy to live with over time, especially because of its comfort, space, and feature set. The review summary also suggests that buyers value its trouble-free family use and the confidence it inspires for long-term ownership. For used buyers, the main risk is that early-generation complaints around electrical, infotainment, and transmission issues make a careful inspection and maintenance review especially important.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Honda Odyssey?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 201 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.04% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,851 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $27,860 CAD sits slightly below last year's $32,037 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can be good news if you're buying now but less ideal if you're planning to sell soon. If you own one for a few years, the current softness may limit short-term upside, especially if the vehicle is not exceptionally well maintained. On the other hand, a well-kept example with strong service records should still appeal to family buyers looking for space, comfort, and features.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.95/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.04% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.95/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 is a strong choice if you want a well-equipped, highly rated minivan and you value current market softness as a buying opportunity. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the newest badge alone.
