Is the 2019 GMC Sierra 3500HD a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2019 GMC Sierra 3500HD, and it fits a truck that leans hard into capability while still offering a more refined side in higher trims. The broad trim walk gives you everything from basic utility to near-luxury, so you can shop for the level of comfort and equipment that matches your needs. The current average of $54,212 CAD sits slightly below last year's $54,248 CAD.

That small decline suggests the market has been stable rather than volatile, which can help future sellers because pricing expectations are easier to set. It also means you are less likely to see dramatic swings in value over a short ownership period. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 GMC Sierra 3500HD or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 26.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a heavy-duty truck with broad trim choice, strong capability, and a market that is still reasonably stable, the 2019 is the primary year to target. If you are more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever listing gives you the best combination of condition, equipment, and asking price.
