The current average of $53,441 CAD sits slightly above last year's $51,925 CAD.

That kind of price movement suggests the market has remained supportive for this truck, which can help if you plan to sell later. A higher current average also means buyers are still willing to pay for the right example, especially if it is well equipped and in strong condition. If you buy carefully now, you may be better positioned to preserve value when it is time to move on.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 GMC Sierra 3500HD or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.92% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 makes sense if you want a heavy-duty truck with serious capability and a more refined upper-trim experience, especially if you can find one priced near the lower end of the market. If you are more price-sensitive, it is worth comparing nearby years and focusing on the best-maintained truck rather than the newest badge.
