Yes — the 2019 GMC Canyon earns a 4.67/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers commonly praise its stylish look, comfortable interior, smooth power delivery, and easy driving and parking. That lines up well if you want a midsize pickup that feels more polished and manoeuvrable than a full-size truck, while still offering plenty of features. Is the 2019 GMC Canyon reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also points to a truck that feels dependable in day-to-day use, with owners highlighting its smooth power and comfortable cabin. For long-term ownership, the main risk is making sure the specific truck you choose has been maintained well, since condition matters more as these vehicles age.

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Inventory: There are 69 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.83% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,705 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 GMC Canyon's resale value?

The current average of $25,721 CAD sits slightly below last year's $33,328 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable point in the cycle. For a future seller, it also means there may be less room for appreciation unless demand strengthens. If you buy well now and keep the truck in strong condition, you may be better positioned to limit depreciation later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 GMC Canyon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 is a strong pick if you want a midsize truck with a more refined feel, modern infotainment, and solid owner approval. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2019 stands out as the better choice when you want a balanced mix of comfort, features, and current market value.
