Is the 2019 GMC Acadia a good car?

Generally — the 4.4/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this model year. Owners commonly praise the smooth ride, stylish design, and spacious interior, and the Acadia’s family-friendly layout and useful features make it a practical fit if you want a midsize SUV with a more manageable footprint. The trade-off is that some shoppers may find the third row cramped, so it works best if you value comfort and versatility more than maximum passenger space. With 29.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2019 GMC Acadia reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free experience for many drivers, especially those who value a comfortable daily-use SUV with family-friendly features. That said, some reviewers mention a frustrating “Shift to Park” issue on certain models, so you should pay close attention to service history and how the vehicle behaves during a test drive. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the overall package and more about making sure any known issues have been addressed before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 GMC Acadia?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 81 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.23% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,266 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 GMC Acadia's resale value?

The current average of $22,237 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,051 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price carefully to stay competitive. If you buy now, you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. The Acadia’s family-friendly appeal and broad usefulness should help support demand, but the softer pricing trend means you may not see rapid appreciation later.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 GMC Acadia or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used midsize SUV with a comfortable ride, family-friendly space, and a price that has eased from last year, the 2019 is a sensible place to start. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years to see whether a better-equipped or lower-priced example fits your budget more closely.
