Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Dodge Journey?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 80 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.33% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,964 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Dodge Journey's resale value?

The current average of $13,761 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,718 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy with less upfront risk, but it also suggests resale values have cooled. If you plan to sell later, you may want to focus on well-kept examples with strong service records and desirable equipment, since those are more likely to hold their appeal. For a future seller, the current trend means condition and pricing discipline will matter more than usual.

Should I buy a 2019 Dodge Journey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.33% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2019 Dodge Journey makes the most sense if you want a lower-cost used SUV with three-row practicality and you’re willing to shop carefully for condition and value. If you’re price-sensitive, the 2019 is worth a close look because the market has softened and there are still some good deals available. If you want the strongest possible value, compare it against nearby years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the cheapest one.
