Is the 2019 BMW 4 Series a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the 2019 BMW 4 Series backs that up with a sleek, coupe-like design, a premium cabin, and a good level of standard equipment. It is a fit if you want a stylish luxury car with strong performance and a more distinctive shape than a typical sedan-based alternative. 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 BMW 4 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2019 BMW 4 Series is described as a well-developed version of the original package, with an early update already bringing LED headlights and a stiffer suspension. It also comes with a strong equipment list and a premium feel, but BMW repairs have a reputation for being costly, so long-term ownership risk is best managed by choosing a well-maintained example with a solid service history.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 BMW 4 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 102 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.83% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $28,452 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 BMW 4 Series's resale value?

The current average of $28,793 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,254 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. For a future seller, the key advantage is that the car still has a premium image and a distinctive body style, which can help it stand out when demand is steady. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 BMW 4 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value and confidence, the 2019 is the primary year to target because it combines a favourable price trend with solid owner satisfaction. If your priority is stretching your budget further, you can also compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best condition and deal quality at the lowest asking price.
