Used 2018 Toyota Tacoma for Sale nearToronto, ON

How much does the 2018 Toyota Tacoma cost?

Prices have softened 3.17% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 140 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of choice in the used market.

Is the 2018 Toyota Tacoma a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Toyota Tacoma earns a 4.62/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its reliability, comfort, good fuel economy, smooth ride, and cargo space. That lines up well with its role as a midsize truck for buyers who want a capable pickup without moving up to a full-size truck, especially if you value durability, off-road ability, and long-term value. With 29.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Toyota Tacoma reliable?

Owners rate it 4.62/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also highlights reliability, which fits the Tacoma’s reputation for durability and long-term value. That said, some drivers mention that it can feel underpowered and overpriced, so you should focus on condition, maintenance history, and whether the truck has been used hard.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying a premium for a truck that may still need careful inspection because strong demand can keep prices high.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Toyota Tacoma?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 140 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.17% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $35,208 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Toyota Tacoma's resale value?

The current average of $35,226 CAD sits slightly below last year's $36,379 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. Even so, the Tacoma’s reputation for durability and strong owner satisfaction helps support demand over time. If you buy well and keep the truck in good condition, you should still have a solid chance of holding value better than many other used pickups.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Toyota Tacoma or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a strong choice if you want the Tacoma’s durability, off-road credibility, and long-term value in a year that still has decent market support. If you are price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on whichever one gives you the best condition and equipment for the money, since Tacoma pricing tends to stay firm across the market.
