Is the 2018 Nissan Qashqai a good car?

For used buyers, that kind of owner feedback can reduce the risk of unpleasant surprises, especially if you verify maintenance history and overall condition before you buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Nissan Qashqai?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be patient and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 269 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.16% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $13,507 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Nissan Qashqai's resale value?

The current average of $13,971 CAD sits slightly below last year's $16,664 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a mixed signal for future resale: it may help you buy at a more favourable point now, but it also means you should expect a more competitive market when you eventually sell. If prices stabilise, a well-kept example could hold its appeal better than one that needs work or has a thin service record.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Nissan Qashqai or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a sensible choice if you want a used Qashqai with strong owner satisfaction and a market that currently favours careful shoppers. If your priority is stretching your budget further, you may also want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of price, condition, and deal quality.
