How much does the 2018 Nissan Altima cost?

There are 88 listings available, which suggests a reasonable amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2018 Nissan Altima a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Nissan Altima earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its comfort, good fuel economy, and technology features, and many also like the smooth ride and spacious trunk. For you, that makes it a sensible choice if you want a comfortable, value-focused midsize sedan with standard all-wheel drive in Canada. With 27.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Nissan Altima reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free experience for many drivers, especially when the car has been maintained properly over the long term. At the same time, some reviews mention transmission concerns and maintenance-related issues, so used buyers should pay close attention to service records and overall condition. That means your ownership risk is manageable, but only if you choose carefully and verify the car’s history before committing.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Nissan Altima?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 88 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.67% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,923 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Nissan Altima's resale value?

The current average of $12,977 CAD sits slightly below last year's $14,054 CAD.

That decline suggests the market has become a bit softer for sellers, which can make it harder to recover top dollar if you plan to trade in soon. For you, that means resale value is more about buying at the right price now than expecting strong appreciation later. If you keep the car in good condition and maintain it well, you can help protect its value, but the broader market trend still favours buyers more than sellers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Nissan Altima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.67% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a comfortable, well-equipped midsize sedan with standard all-wheel drive in Canada, the 2018 Altima is a solid primary choice, especially if you find one with a clean history and a competitive price. If you are more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, mileage, and asking price.
