Is the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxury features, comfort, and reliable engineering, and many also like the performance and premium sound system. In practical terms, it suits you well if you want a refined, family-friendly luxury SUV with a quiet cabin and a broad spread of powertrain choices. Is the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights reliable engineering, and several reviews describe the vehicle as dependable and trouble-free over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the core drivetrain and more about the possibility of costly repairs on complex systems.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 113 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.41% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,105 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $27,105 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,947 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. The fact that demand is still supported by a solid owner rating helps keep the model relevant in the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.41% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a well-equipped, comfortable luxury SUV and you find a clean 2018 at a strong price, it makes sense to focus on this year. If you're especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years to see whether a similar vehicle offers a better entry point.
