Used 2018 Mazda CX-5 for Sale nearNewmarket, ON

How much does the 2018 Mazda CX-5 cost?

Prices have softened 4.14% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 309 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2018 Mazda CX-5 a good car?

Yes — the 4.6/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the smooth ride, great features, and stylish interior, and they also like the safety features and performance on the road. For you, that means the CX-5 makes the most sense if you want a compact SUV that feels more polished and enjoyable to drive than many rivals, even if you do not need the roomiest cabin. With 24.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still enough market activity to help you shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Mazda CX-5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable and easy to live with over time, especially because of its smooth ride and strong day-to-day usability. That said, some owners have noted paint flaking on certain colours, so a careful inspection matters if you are buying used. For long-term ownership, your biggest risk is likely to come from condition-specific wear rather than a broad pattern of major trouble.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Mazda CX-5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 24.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 309 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.14% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $19,036 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Mazda CX-5's resale value?

The current average of $19,595 CAD sits slightly below last year's $20,442 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has eased, which can make the CX-5 easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the current trend means you should expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment rather than on broad market appreciation. A well-kept example should still appeal to shoppers who want a stylish compact SUV with strong owner satisfaction.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Mazda CX-5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 24.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.14% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, owner satisfaction, and a more upscale feel, the 2018 is the one to focus on first. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2018’s stronger market position and owner appeal.
