Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Lexus RX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 115 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.16% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $31,426 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Lexus RX's resale value?

The current average of $31,426 CAD sits slightly below last year's $34,219 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a good entry point for you as a buyer, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if values continue to ease. Even so, the RX’s reputation for comfort and dependable ownership helps support demand. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in good condition, that brand strength can help protect your resale position later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Lexus RX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2018 if you want a comfortable, well-liked luxury SUV with a softer used price and decent deal availability. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year with a lower average price may be worth considering, but the 2018 remains the safer pick if you value owner satisfaction and a strong overall ownership reputation.
