How much does the 2018 Jeep Cherokee cost?

Is the 2018 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Jeep Cherokee earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its features, spaciousness, smooth ride, good value, and 4X4 capability. For you, that makes it a sensible fit if you want a compact SUV with everyday usability and some genuine Jeep character. With 30.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with many drivers describing it as a vehicle they can count on for features, comfort, and all-weather use. That said, used buyers should still budget for a thorough inspection, since long-term ownership risk can rise if a previous owner skipped maintenance or if the vehicle has been used hard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Jeep Cherokee?

It looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 393 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.55% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,485 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $15,817 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,510 CAD.

That softer pricing means future sellers may not see the same strength they would have a year ago, especially if market supply stays healthy. If you buy now, your resale outlook will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. A well-kept example should still appeal to shoppers who want Jeep branding and available 4x4 capability.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.55% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used Cherokee with strong owner approval, solid feature content, and a market that still offers some deal potential, the 2018 is a good primary target. If you are more price-sensitive and want to stretch your budget further, it is worth comparing nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2018’s stronger satisfaction signal.
