Is the 2018 Honda Pilot a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Honda Pilot earns a 4.67/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its great value, spaciousness, and driving comfort, and many also like the rear entertainment system and roomy interior. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a practical three-row SUV for family use, especially if space and everyday comfort matter more than premium cabin feel. With 30.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Honda Pilot reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback describes it as reliable and dependable overall, with many owners feeling confident in it for family duty and long-term use. The same feedback also points to some common mechanical concerns, including emissions-related issues, so you should still pay close attention to service history and any warning lights when shopping used. For a used buyer, that means the ownership risk looks manageable, but a careful inspection is still important.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Honda Pilot?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 183 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.60% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,796 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $23,796 CAD sits slightly below last year's $27,543 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the Pilot easier to buy now but may also mean future resale gains are more limited if prices stay soft. If you buy at the right number and keep the vehicle in good condition, you can help protect your value over time. Strong demand for family-friendly three-row SUVs should still support interest from future shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.60% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 Honda Pilot is a sensible choice if you want a comfortable, spacious three-row SUV with strong owner approval and a market that currently gives you some negotiating room. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2018’s balance of value, comfort, and family-friendly packaging.
