Used 2018 Honda Civic for Sale near Niagara Falls, ON

How much does the 2018 Honda Civic cost?

Prices have softened 11.26% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 621 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Honda Civic a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Honda Civic earns a 4.71/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its great value, reliability, impressive fuel economy, safety features, and technology. In practical terms, that lines up well with its role as a roomy, stylish, and sporty compact car that works as an everyday driver. With 32.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Honda Civic reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also highlights reliability, with many drivers describing it as dependable and a car they can count on over the long term. That said, used buyers should still watch for age-related wear and the common comfort and trim complaints mentioned by owners, since those can affect ownership experience even when the core car remains solid.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Honda Civic?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 621 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.26% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,583 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Honda Civic's resale value?

The current average of $16,621 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,731 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you own one, the current trend means you should expect resale value to depend more on condition, mileage, and equipment than on broad market momentum. Strong pricing discipline matters here, especially if you plan to sell in the near term.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Honda Civic or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.26% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $18,618 CAD, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $16,621 CAD average.
• Honda keeps the Civic's winning formula with only minor updates.

The bottom line:
You should start with the 2018 if you want the better value play, especially given the softer pricing and solid owner satisfaction. If you're willing to pay more for a newer model year with only modest changes, the 2019 is the cleaner alternative; otherwise, the 2018 is the smarter pick for price-sensitive buyers.
