How much does the 2018 Ford Fusion cost?

Prices have softened 22.37% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

Is the 2018 Ford Fusion a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2018 Ford Fusion, and it fits a midsize sedan that blends sharp styling, strong road manners, and a wide range of powertrain choices. It also gives you useful everyday space, including a back seat with 973 millimetres of legroom and a 450-litre trunk, so it works well if you want a practical family sedan with a more distinctive look. The lineup’s breadth also helps if you want to tailor the car to your needs, whether that means available all-wheel drive or a plug-in hybrid. 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2018 Ford Fusion reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2018 Ford Fusion’s appeal comes from its balanced road manners, roomy cabin, and broad powertrain range, all of which can make it feel like a well-rounded used buy. For long-term ownership, your main risk is choosing a version that has not been maintained carefully, especially if you are shopping a higher-mileage example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Ford Fusion?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find decent value.

• Deal availability: 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 79 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.37% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,656 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Ford Fusion's resale value?

The current average of $12,667 CAD sits slightly below last year's $16,318 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit how much value you recover later if prices stay soft. For a future seller, the current trend means you should expect resale to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim. Well-kept examples should still attract interest because the Fusion offers a roomy cabin and a broad feature set.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Ford Fusion or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.37% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a well-equipped midsize sedan with strong space and a softer used price, the 2018 is the primary year to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may still make sense, but the 2018 gives you a compelling mix of value, practicality, and buyer appeal.
