What is the 2018 Ford Escape's resale value?

The current average of $13,159 CAD sits slightly below last year's $15,902 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a plus if you are buying now, but it also means future resale upside may be more limited unless the market tightens again. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.83/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Ford Escape or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.25% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.83/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used Escape with strong owner approval, solid value, and a market that currently favours careful shoppers, the 2018 is a sensible choice. If your priority is simply the lowest possible purchase price, you may also want to compare nearby model years and focus on whichever one gives you the best condition and deal quality for your budget.
